Oxford Ghost Trail
Historically informative yet hugely entertaining, it's the perfect way to soak up the atmosphere of this famous city, leaving you with a deliciously scary tingle running down your spine.
Intrepid ghost hunters should meet outside the glass fronted gift shop of Oxford Castle Unlocked. Bill Spectre (distinctively dressed as a Victorian undertaker) will depart from that place at 6.30pm every Friday and Saturday evening. For a shorter walk, meet outside the Tourist Information Centre, 15-16 Broad Street at 7pm.
BEWARE! The large white board outside the iron gates of Trinity College HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BILL SPECTRE'S GHOST TRAIL!
The tour lasts approximately 1 ¾ hours from the castle or 1 ¼ hours from the Tourist Information Centre, and ends near the Sheldonian Theatre.
Children (aged 13-15 years) £6.00
Children (aged 5-12 years) £4.00
No need to book. Pay on the day or buy tickets online via Oxford Castle Unlocked.
Access: The tours are accessible to wheelchair and pushchair users, but there are cobblestones, uneven paving and curb stones to be negotiated.
No need to book, the tours run every week and take place whatever the weather.
For further information, group and private bookings please email email@example.com or call 0794 104 1811.
There will be no Ghost Trail between Christmas and New Year. Last 2013 Trail on Saturday 21st December, first Ghost Trail in 2014 will be on Saturday 4th January.
Have a scarily good Christmas!
