"Just got back from your ghost tour and I can honestly say it was one of the best things... if not THE best thing I've done in Oxford in the whole 3 years I've been at Uni here! I'm so sad I discovered it at the end of my 3 years! Also saw you at The Corner Club last Friday - such a fantastic night! I am recommending you to everyone I know!"

– Emily Perry, audience member on ghost trail and at The Corner Club Oxford

"Bill Spectre got our Book Week at Kennet School off to a tremendous start with his atmospheric and creepy stories, The Judge's House and The Monkey's Paw. Pupils from Year 7 up to Year 10 sat enthralled as Bill developed the tension with his stories. He creates a gothic atmosphere setting the scene with spooky music and rounds off his tales with a series of illusions which left the pupils guessing at how they were created. I can't recommend him highly enough."

– Helen Ledger, Librarian, Kennet School Thatcham

"Our Festive Frights night of ghost story-telling with Bill Spectre went perfectly. Bill was a pleasure to work with and put on a great performance - our large audience were all hanging on his every word!"

– Andrew Cox, Bristol City Central Library

"The storytelling was exceptional and kept the youngsters of all ages absolutely spellbound."

– Mr P G Dick, Headmaster, Kennet School Thatcham

"The second Bill appeared from the shadows of the dark Library the children were mesmerised. An actor and storyteller by trade; the children were enthralled by Bill's telling of Bram Stoker's The Judge's House. The only noise to be heard in the whole 50 minute telling was a collective intake of breath as the story reached its horrifying climax! Whoever says it is impossible to get teenagers to concentrate for any length of time these days, clearly hasn't seen Bill tell a tale. A fantastically different event for a school to host, both educational and memorable, I would wholeheartedly recommend Bill for a school visit and let your students witness storytelling at its best. We can’t wait to have Bill back again, although we are a little scared...!"

– Nicola Patrick, Learning Resources Centre Manager, Henry Box School, Witney

– Dorothy Burrows, Betjeman Festival Wantage

"Wow! You were amazing! I was swept off my feet by your storytelling!"

– Sarah Slade, audience member at Oxford Castle Unlocked

"Bill Spectre visited Cogges Manor Farm Museum for our "Night at the Museum" event in association with the National MLA event (Museums, Libraries & Archives). It was a tremendous success with the highlight of the evening being Bill's spooky ghost tales. Visitors listened in awe as Bill began his ghostly tale, rapt with interest in the darkened setting of the Manor House dining room, our guests could feel the chill in the air and you could hear a pin drop as Bill delved deeper into this mysterious tale of The Monkey's Paw. As the evening came to an end you could hear and see their obvious enjoyment of Bill's expertly told story. I can't recommend him enough to add that extra something special to any event."

– Lorraine Horne, Publicity & Marketing Officer, Cogges Manor Farm Museum Witney

"Bill’s atmospheric performance of spooky ghost stories recently thrilled an especially invited audience of parents and children alike. A masterly teller of tales to make your spine tingle!"

– The Headmaster, Cokethorpe School
